Having overcome many of life's challenges, I have learned that life is precious and time is a gift.  I understand that life can be very busy and unpredictable.  Time is something few of us seem to have enough of.  Whether it's working, taking care of family members, planning for and enjoying retirement, or just wanting to relax and savour life, we all need more time.

My passion for helping others grew when I went back to school as an adult to attain my grade twelve Diploma.  I graduated with an award for "Superior Academic Achievement & Major Contribution to the Adult Learning Program".  I have since earned a BA in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario, receiving the "Lifelong Learners Award" and more recently, graduated on the President’s Honour Roll with a Diploma in Business Management from Fanshawe College, attaining the “Compass Mineral Entrepreneurship Award”.

As a lifelong learner and avid volunteer, I have enjoyed serving my community on housing, poverty, and food-bank boards and committees as well as continuing to participate in keeping our beach clean, fundraising, and outreach activities.  I also love spending time with my family, hiking the local trails, camping, healthy eating, and sharing what I have learned with others.
